Ad Hoc problem.

Hi,
I'm trying to network two computers via Ad Hoc. I've had a 98 & a win2k machine running fine.. but I took the D-Link 520 Rev 1B card out of the 98 machine and put it in an XP machine.

Now the network works fine for say an hour.. then the wireless in the XDP machine just seems to turn off.... I can't even ping the other one. I've tried having them right next to each other & installed all the latest WindowsXP updates... with no result.


Any suggestions?

Check the power saving settings.
Device manager.

Power saving tab. Uncheck the box that says allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
Let me know if this was the problem
