I'm trying to connect to an "unsecured" network that uses a captive portal via webpage redirect when launched. I'm running 64 bit Vista on an HP DV4, had no issues on my ASUS (Same OS). The HP support folks tried to help me, but then wanted to forward me to some paid support team. I can't be the only person to run into this issue so any config ideas would be helpful.
The actual scenario to connect is fairly simple:
Boot computer
Find network, connect to unsecured network
Launch web page, page gets forwarded to an authentication page, or captive portal.
Enter login/password and waalaa, you're online.
I've tried everything that I know as an intermediate network guy, any suggestions would be appreciated.
