May not be related but...
I had problems with my DSL router dropping out every day or so; I assumed it was probably my phoneline or similiar. When I added a 3Com 11g AP, the AP would lock up about every 3 days. All the devices were connected with a "Genius" hub. The suggestion was made to replace the hub with a switch, which I did. The AP has now been up for over 30 days and the dsl router over 10 days without a glitch. I wouldn't have thought a hub (which appeared to operate faultlessly throughout) could have had such an influence. 8O

Check the 900+ logs (through the web interface) to find out when the device was last rebooted (it may have lost power, or restarted itself)

You may want to try upgrading the firmware on the device (firmware is available from www.dlink.com)

does the signal cut out or the ethernet also? for example, if the signal is just cutting out then I would check your antennae and cabling. But if the ethernet is cutting out then maybe take it back!
could be ethernet cable also, if you have it mounted on a pole or something

All sorted - thanks for your help in all of this - The logs show that the Ap is a bit dodgy with my DSL modem. I have an Orinoco AP600 which I'll be using from now on.

FOR SALE - AP900+ - will sell at wholesale...
