D-Link problem....

I was hoping someone could help getting my wireless working!

The problem i have is that when i try and connect through my D-Link to connect to the main wireless network (which has worked for me for years!) it no longer works. I had taken my PC to a friends house and put it onto their network via a lan cable and when i came back it no longer worked...

I have reinstalled D-Link, Formatted the drive its on and upgraded to XP Pro and all of those step by step have made no difference!

I can get the D-Link to say "connected" if i change the TC/IP address to 10.10.10.12 but it wont connect to the internet, which is very strange

I have read the forums and not really seen the same problem, so i was wondering if either anyone has expereinced this problem and if and how they resolved it, or if anyone has any tips or tricks up their sleeve?

I can get the network to connect to my old wirless network but that is very slow and drops out all of the time and lags when i play any online game si is basically unusable apart from web browsing.
