Dell Dimension 2400 - Please Help

Hey all im new ot this forum so id like to say hey and i hope i hvent posted this topic in the worng place.

I could really do with some help on my situation which is this:

My friends recently gave me a dell dimension 2400 form which he had removed the hard drive. I have ordered a compatible hard drive off ebay and I also have a disc of Windows XP Proffesional. When my hard drive comes to i just have to install it then boot the PC from the cd drive so that XP will be installed or do I have to do something more advanced by installing drivers first as there wont be no drivers on the blank hard drive.

Please help, id really like to get this PC set up for my dads birthday lol
