Default DHCP DNS IP address

Hello all,
I have an Axess.Tel wireless modem AXWD800, I restored the modem to factory settings and tried configuring (as per manual instructions) it to obtain an IP address automatically, but all attempts failed, with help I was able to input a static IP address and I am now able to connect to the internet. Can anyone shed some light on what I am doing wrong here.I contacted Axess.Tel, but they could not provide any help due to contractual limitations.
Thanks in advance.

Hi vmahabs,

so you want to make your router get the ip automatically from your ISP right? Whats the kind of connection provided by your ISP? cable, dsl?

Also, what's the problem with a fixed ip setting?

Best regards,

Israel Guerra

Yes thats right, my ISP connection is wireless using EVDO/CDMA technology.
Its not so much of a problem, rather its a question of what I am doing incorrectly in my re-configuring of the modem. It used to work fine before.
