Unhappy DSE xh8287 HELP!! ...plz??

Hi there,

I'm working in a netcafe currently, and the boss has purchased one of these wireless ap's but I can't get the bloody thing to work. Right now I have it hooked into the back of the machine he wants to use, as it has some special software for internet cafe's, but at the moment I haven't even got around to using that software because I can't connect anything to the access point to begin with! could someone perhaps email me a config.bin file of some settings you've found to work or something?

also, just to make absolutely sure...do I need 'straight-through' or 'crossover' UTP cable to connect to the machine? I've been searching through the manual from Dick Smith Electronics - New Zealand and found it to be all but useless.

any help or ideas would be IMMENSELY appreciated, thanks guys.

Usually to configure and use a wireless AP, you connect to it using a straight through networking cable, this should come in the package as one of the accessories cable.

Sometimes you are also able to connect and configure an AP via a USB cable. All these cables should come with the AP when you first open the box. Did it not come with an instruction manual?
