A bit over a week ago, my wireless router (Linksys WRT5RGv5) gave out on me. I plugged the wired connected computer directly into the modem, and disabled the wireless connection on my wirelessly connected computer (simply by right click-> disable in the Network Connections settings.) I just installed a D-Link DIR 625, and the wired connection set up without an issues.
Now, whenever I try to enable my wireless connection on the other computer, the box pops up saying "Enabling...", and the computer crashes.
Any suggestions on where to look, or what I've messed up/forgotten would be greatly appreciated.
edit: the wireless card is an Airlink 101 802.11g Wireless adapter, and the router is a D-Link RangeBooster N Router DIR-625, although I'm fairly certain the problem lies with the computer itself.
edit 2: laptop was connected fine. did a system restore on the desktop having issues, and now it crashes loading windows, I assume because the wireless connection is enabled.
edit 3: removed the wireless card, computer is able to load. Time to buy a new card I guess?
