so i know nothing about networking or computers really and i feel pretty good about getting this far without assistance, but now im stumped
we have 3 computers networked (2 wireless, 1 hard wired) with one of those 4-port adsl/router combo boxes, everything was fine when we were on jetstream. so we switched to woosh, and i cant figure out how to share the internet connection across the network
this is whats connected to each port on the router
1- the ethernet cable to PC 1
2- the woosh modem
3- the wireless AP, to which PC 2 and PC 3 connect
4- unused
ok so PC 2 has the woosh software installed, which creates an ISDN dialler. so that connects to the internet no problem. all 3 PCs can see the network, but PC 1 and 3 have no internet access.
Installing the dialler software on 1 and 3 doesnt work as they try a direct connection with the modem, and of course the port is already in use on PC 2
i think the solution will be something like configuring PC 1 and 3 to access the internet via PC 2 like a gateway
anyway if anyone has done this before or has any ideas, feedback would be mucho appreciado
this is a fairly retarded question but I guess the answer would be to enable internet connection sharing on the pc that is connected to the Woosh and then have all the other machines that want to use the internet to set that machine as their gateway
