How To Hook up 2 routers together??

Okay I've looked at the How-To here and googled a lot but can not find a straight good explaining answer.

I want to hook up two routers (Together) to extend the range in my house so I don't lose too much signal when I head up stairs.

One router is a Belkin N300 and the other is a Belkin F5D8235-4 (N+ Router) I want the F5D to be the "Extra" router what settings do I use and where do I hook up the cables?
