Default HP laptop Windows 7 wont connect through wireless

My laptop disconnected itself from my internet while I was using it, and ever since ive not been able to connect wirelessly to ANY network. My laptop cannot wirelessly connect to the network at home or at work. It picks up a strong signal of the networks when close by. When clicking connect (with the correct password) it says "connecting to network", and then after a few seconds says "windows was unable to connect". Its important to note my laptop worked fine for months before, with no settings changed to cause any conflicts.

What I can do is:
Connect to my router using etherner cable
Connect to my router wirelessly using a different laptop
Pick up my routers (and others close by) SSID signal
Connect wireless to my router using a USB wireless adapter

What Ive tried
Ensured network password is correct
Changing channel of router
Turning firewall off laptop
Ensured IPv6 is set to automatically
Ensured DCHP Client and TCP/IP Net bio services started automatically
Update network adapter driver
Reinstalled network adapter driver

My laptop
HP Pavilion dv8-1080ea
Windows 7 (64bit)

Any advice would be appreciated thanks

open network and sharing center
change adapter settings
wireless network connection
properties
internet protocol version 4
if
obtain an ip address automatically
and
obtain DNS server addresses manually
are not checked, that's your problem

may be it is a virus
try installing an antivirus or perform an online check from Norton

I have the same problem... and I am thinking that it is my wireless adapter causing the issue. I've tried using usb wireless adapter and its working good.
Hope that you can try the same isolation I've done.
Good luck.

Try to restore your laptop sometimes if its not a major problem like device malfunction, restoring your systems works.
Try it
