I have a Signal but no internet

Internet works when i have it plugged in the laptop, but when i try to use the router it catches the signal but it wont let me get online....any help?

your laptop does not see the router as the internet gateway. if you configure TCP-IP manually, set the router IP as the internet gateway. If you use DHCP it isn't configured properly
