I recently encountered problems relating to my laptop and its connection to the internet. In the recent past, it has worked fine.
Using a Dell E1505 with Broadcomm 440x10/100 and Windows Vista, Premium Home addition. Driver version is bcm4bxp.sys.
I have tried everything to make my laptop connect as it did in the past but have now run out of ideas. That's where you guys come in.
System Device (in Windows) indicates that the controller and software are OK. When using the Broadcomm Diagnostic Utility, the controller show up as a graphic with a "red line" drawn through it. The diagnostic program also indicates that an IP address is not shown.
I would appreciate any ideas relative to a solution. Thanks.
