Intel 4965agn Windows 7 64bit (Device cannot start)
Hey, so recently I decided to upgrade my laptop's wireless from a crappy Atheros wireless to a nice Gigabyte Aircruiser N300 (GN-WS30N-RH) and found that HP blacklist most wireless cards except for the Broadcom wireless n mini pci-e, or the Intel 4965agn mini pci-e.
I figured for $20 to get an Intel4965agn card and install it, would be easier than manipulating BIOS to accept my Gigabyte Aircruiser N300.
I have read in many forums what seems to be people running Windows 7 64bit with an Intel 4965agn successfully regardless of speed issues. I have tried the newest and some old drivers but always get a code:10 "The device cannot start" (yellow ! in device manager).
I only have 2 antennas attached to the wireless n card, but have antennas to use if I really need 3 to get this to work. I have tried reseating the wireless card and reinstalled my os a few times to test, Windows 7 64bit eval build 6100, Windows 7 32bit, Windows 7 64bit, Vista home premium 64bit, XP Pro 64bit.
I am currently back on Windows 7 64bit and would love to get this damn card working
