intel wireless card on acer travelmat 270

hi i just installed a intel wm3b2200bg wireless card in my acer travelmate 270 laptop installed it fine works sorta i cant turn it on because i need a switch to make it receive and send it has a switch above the keyboard but it does not work and yeh i was wondering if there was a way to A:make the original switch work to turn it on B:make it work with software or c:any other way to make the damn thing work
