Hello,
I am having some issues with an outdoor wireless link that consists of (2) YDI Etherant II's and an Orinoco AP1000 (running as a bridge for the two EC's)
I will try to keep this as short and to the point all the while trying to not leave anything out. So here goes.
My network topology is as follows:
Site "A"
Cable Modem feeding a Linksys WRT54G Wirless router(I have the wireless disabled so I'm basically just using this device for routing purposes)
Computer A and Computer B directly connected to the WRT54G via eth1 & 2
Etherant 1 is directly connected to eth3 on the WRT54G as well
Site "B" (tower site)
Orinoco AP1000 is not directly connected to anything but acts as the wireless bridge between Etherant 1 & 2.
Site "C"
Etherant 2 is directly connected to a 4 port HUB
Computer C is directly connected to the same 4 port HUB
All IP addresses are statically assigned within the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet
Now for the issue....
I can access ALL computers no matter if I am at Site "A" or "C". I can share files and applications. I can log into the remote machines via RDP on either end but there is NO internet at Site "C". All LAN traffic works fine...just no WAN traffic.
As far as troubleshooting this.,,,things I have already done, all with the same result(no internet at Site "C").....
Tried using the DHCP server on WRT54G to assign IPs to all computers and wireless devices.
Tried running wireless link with and without encryption and authentication
Bought a 2nd router to replace the WRT54G and still had same result(why I am certain that its in the EC's and Orinoco OR....or else that equipment wont work with Linksys hardware)
Ok....For those of you who made it thru this whole post...I thank you for any and all tips that come to mind.
