Hi. I have a Linksys wusb100 on an XP operating system. This has worked very well for a year, but Sunday night I had such a weak signal that I couldn't access the internet. The other two computer in the house were fine.
I updated the driver and reinstalled the adapter. Now I can't connect to the router, and although I get a pop-up telling me there are wireless networks in the area when I click on the pop-up it shows that there are no networks in range.
Device manager shows that the adapter is installed and working properly. The modem and router have been rebooted. At the risk of asking a stupid question, do adapters just fail?
I think you have to contact technical expertise or explore this more in disscusion on forum if i will get the solution of this issue. I'll sure help you.
not only that but i would look up if there is any updated drivers and firmware for your model. i have been looking for some for mine but i don't seem to find as many as i do for the linksys models
