Default Linksys Wireless-G PCI Card installed, but unreconized

Hi all, this is my first post.

I recently had to format my desktop pc. After using the system restore disk, the
the Linksys Wireless-G PCI Card that i have used forever wont even show up in the hardware profile.

I tried downloading the drivers, disconnecting, than installing. But still, the hardware doesnt even show up as installed. Not even in the hardware profile. The light on the back doesnt even light up to show any type of response.

Is there anything i can do???

All help is greatly appreciated...

Remove the card from the PC. Turn the PC on and let it fully start. Check the device manager to ensure it isn't present. Shut down the PC and fit the card again. Now when the PC starts it should start the new hardware found process. Just click cancel and install the drivers from the disk provided. Then update the drives via the device manager and it will find them.

If that doesn't work try placing the card in a different PCI slot. If that doesn't work I am sorry I don't have a solution to your problem.

Regards

Fred
