Lost connectivity after firmware upgrade on ASUS RT-N56U

After upgrading the firmware to latest version, I have not been able to get back into the router using 192.168.1.1.

I have found nothing on the ASUS forum on how to solve this.

Anyone know what to do?

Have you tried doing a hard reset (factory reset) via the pin hole on the back of the unit? It is near the ethernet ports. Use something like a paper clip and push and hold the button for 10 seconds, then release it. May take up to two minutes to completely reset.

The above picture shows the factory reset button between the top ethernet port and the USB ports.

How about releasing your all your connection settings by ipconfig /release
in command prompt then ipconfig /renew to renew your connection.

You can just reset the router right away. Just press the button at the back of the router for 3-5seconds then try reconnecting again.
