Default Low Signal then Cutout

I have an Atheros AR5001X+ Card and I can only attain a low signal. It will stay connected for a while then it will disconnect and reconnect right away and never goes above a low Signal. Everybody else with Wireless here is getting Exelent signal. I have tried many different Drivers and nothing changes. When I'm connected the speed is fast and I can download fast but it disconnects and reconnects all the time. Anybody have any Idea what the problem is?

Thank you.

Default bad card

Hi there
Are you as close to the AP as the other guys? And are any of them using high powered client adaptors. If someone is closer with a high powered card it can drown out the signal of others a bit further away. Normally I would say this problem would be caused by interference but if the others are ok, then maybe not.
Is it a built in card, PCMCIA laptop card or PCI. If you have an external antenna it could be a faulty antenna or connection.
Have you updated the drivers to the latest version? Atheros don't seem to release reference drivers so you will have to go the manufacturer of you card.
Driver updates on Wifi cards can make a big difference some times.

If it is new I would call the shop where you got it from, they may replace it.

Good Luck
Dale
