Hi,

I know this is a wireless only forum but I really need help with my router...

I keep getting NAT errors on b.net, GunZ, bittorrent, etc.
I know about portforwarding but I don't know how to set it up on the m1122 - please help

What exactly can't you figure out? It seems pretty straight forward to me

Something like this:

Entry name=test
address=192.168.1.1
start port (int)=4000
start port (ext)=4000
number of ports=10
protocol=tcp

You want to use NAPT and VCC1 (or all connections, it doesn't really matter)

Do I have to restart the router for it to take effect?

How do I unblock all ports?

I'm not sure if you have to restart it, on the M11's you had to

You cannot "unblock" all of the ports, it's a port mapping thing, not a firewall

The number of ports is something like this

if you set number of ports to 5 starting at 80, then it will open 80, 81, 82, 83, 84 and map them to the ip address given

Xtra's DNS servers are as follows:

alien.xtra.co.nz [202.27.184.3]
terminator.xtra.co.nz [202.27.184.5]

Hi,

I went to portforward.com to enable a program 'GunZ' and allow it to access the ports, I followed the MW1122 instructions even though I have a M1122.

I followed the instructions and to no prevail it did not allow the game to work.

My primary DNS server and secondary is 192.168.1.1 by default. I use DHCP and not static because the M1122 remembers each computer's given IP e.g. even if I restart, my desktop will always be 192.168.1.2 and my laptop will always be 192.168.1.3...

I'm not sure what to do, I cannot host games on warcraft III and I cannot play on GunZ due to the agent error which could be remedied by port forward.

Are the problems with NAPT with my router due to the fact that is does not use the xtra DNS server but the default 192.168.1.1?
