Default Moving Router into house not working

Hi sorry if this is in the wrong thread.

THe setup i have is a Bt voyager 2100 in our office at the end of the garden, which gives me a rubbish connection in the house, so i moved it inside today and plugged it into the phone line.

The laptop and Ps3 (which is the main reason i want it) were coming up with basically full connection which is what i want but for some reason nothing would work, the wireless icon on the laptop was showing a connection but the little globe sign on it wasnt coming up which usually means its working.

as soon as i plugged it into the line in the office it worked again but with low connection again.

Does anyone know why this might be, could it be becuase the router usualy helps connect the Home pc by wire out in the office??

Thanks
