Default my wireless card cannot see router

i am currently running airlink+ wireless card and a zyxel 330 router...
i have updated all firmware and drivers to the latest version, but my pci wireless card would either
1. can't see the router.
2. sometimes after i restart the computer, it can see it....but when i use window xp's repair wireless connection function it tells me that it freezes on the window "connecting to the wireless device" and router will not talk back to it >.> .
3. I recently just switched router and the card was working fine with 2wires flawlessly. I have also tried an unsecure netgear router(neighbors) and it seems to work fine.
4. router is working, have both pci and wireless up and running on other computers.
any help/input would be appreciated. I am running outta ideas, and leaning toward this cheapo pci card just doesn't like the router

Try going unsecure with the ZyXEL router just as a quick test. Those ZyXEL routers are usually pretty solid; I'd be staring hard at the mini PCI card. I find the cheap ones can be very troublesome. Mind you have you been able to try another client on your router to confirm this?
