Default Network Setup Help

I have a brand new DLink Router WBR-1310.

I can connect to it over the air via 192.168.0.1 but I cannot connect to the internet.

I am on a dell laptop using WinXp and I have cable internet.

I have not changes any settings and DHCP is enabled by default, any help with setting to get the internet to work will be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance
