no internet

im using a laptop i have internet access on the laptop, also i have a pc with the same wep key as the laptop.the pc is about 15feet away from the laptop, both report an excellant signal from the same access point/router, but the pc cannot get onto the internet,im using the hex 26 character in both client utilitys.
any tips

Couple of things to check first
Open IE and goto the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options".
Goto the "Connections" tab and select the "LAN Settings"
If your network is not using a proxy server then uncheck all except "Automatically Dectect Settings" and apply.
Has the PC with wireless been used on another network before? If so check that there is no IP address and gateway set in the TCP/IP settings.
