Default Not very good w/ wireless, plz help

i recently got time warner cable and they provided a wireless card for me. its a netgear wireless card but i also have a linksys as well. there both wireless G and they both have the same problem. Sometimes it will say 54 mb/s but it keeps dropping and going back up. Sometimes i will lose connection completely, especially when i am playing online games. The channel is set to 11 and i also have a laptop with wireless and that does not have any problems what soever, even when i am playing games. Any help would be appreciated. The router is also a netgear wireless G router. Also, we do not have any cordless phones in our house to interfere with the signal. My signal strength is usually 4-5 bars which is the highest it will go. Thank you.

Default Interference?

Hi there
Sounds like interference. Have you run Netstumbler? http://www.stumbler.net/ to see if there are any other networks near on the same channel. Since your laptop works fine it may be your PC. I take it they are PCI cards, if they are USB try them with your laptop.
Good luck
Dale
