Default Please Help

ok, this makes me so very angry every day that im pulling my hair out. ive already tried every solution i could find online, but to no avail. ill be posting this on the hardware section too, so delete whichever one is misplaced. thanks.

i have a linksys wireless-b usb network adapter v2.8

i will be happily surfing the internet at 54 on a g network for hours. all of a sudden, it disconnects and stops responding. i right-click, no menu appears. i double click, no properties appear. i go to show all network onnections and it show that it's disconnected, but when i right click it, none of the options in the menu will work. i have to restart my computer. it shows that the wireless connection is not responding and gives me 10 sec to end now. it restarts and everything's fine. and yes, ive reinstalled the latest drivers like 10 times.

please help. if you want to email me, its chorboyz@yahoo.com

thank you so much.

There could be a large number of possibilities here. Try updating your USB controller driver, which you can usually get from the motherboard chipset manufacturer. Some chipsets have had wierd issues with USB (such as SiS and VIA) that are often fixed by driver updates from the manufacturer.

Also if possible try the adapter in another PC to see if there is a consistent problem, that will help eliminate the adapter or something on your PC.

Hope this helps.
