Default Router wont open secure sites

Hello i recently bought a D-LINK DI-514 DSL BROADBAND WIRELESS ROUTER.

The setup is my girlfriends ibook (wirless) my laptop (wirless) and a desktop which is a ethernet connection. All computers can connect no problem to the internet. Howver, secure sites like hotmail, ebay etc will not load when you sign in. Strange thing is HSBC bank site loads fine! This problem is on all computers, so its definatley a router issue. When i use the modem without the router the secure sites work fine....

Im not sure where to begin! Basicallt my router wont allow secure logins!

Advice please, many thanks

EDIT: Just found this link, is this the soloution? http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.as...%20DI-514_revC

Could be a solution, have you tried it?

yep sorted it! spot on!
Any advice on how to stop it dropping connection ever now and then? Will the ethernet connection drop also when the wirless drops?

Thanks people, you are a huge help to me!

The Ethernet and wireless are handled by separate components inside the router so if the wireless drops it won't affect Ethernet (unless there is a more fundamental problem somewhere).

Check for any sources of interference, e.g. cordless phones, neighbours wireless, etc. Try chaning channel and see if this helps. Otherwise there might still be a dodgy firmware issue even with the latest version (it wouldn't be a first for D-Link).
