Default Sony Vaio Wireless Issue

I"ve got a Sony Vaio laptop (small sized) but I don't have the Serial/Model on me currently that refuses to see a Netgear Rangemax WAP as of 6 days ago. All other computers using wireless in the house see the WAP just fine, as did the Vaio until 6 days ago.

Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: The laptop cannot even see the signal of the WAP at the moment. Tried moving the laptop from 1 foot away to 30+ feet away with no change.

I met same problem a few days ago. Uninstall your firewall to take a look.

People should also make sure their SSID is short and uses normal characters (letters and numbers). I've heard of some wifi devices not seeing wifi networks because they didn't like spaces in the name.

Of course, since the Vaio saw it before, this is obviously not the problem. Was any software or hardware installed or updated about that time?
