Synching repeater to router with one port?

My Hawking wireless repeater needs to be initially activated or synched by plugging it into an ethernet LAN of the wireless router. Unfortunately, my Actiontec router only has one ethernet port, which prevents me from having both plugged in simultaneously. Can I just use a multi-port ethernet "hub" with an uplink connection to add ports? Thanks in advance!

hey, all u need to do is buy a regular 8 port switch, plug an ethernet cable from the singular port of ur router to any of the lan ports on the new switch.
by doing this, u will now hv like 7 ports which u can use.
