System stutter/skip when WPA-TKIP enabled (D-Link DWA-547)

I am using D-Link DIR-635 router and D-Link DWA-547, both draft-n (802.11n) product.

Whenever WPA encryption is enabled in the router, the system with DWA-547 stutters, which can be observed by frequent short skipping during playback of audio/video files (on local harddisk), resulting in playback slower than it is supposed to be. Stutter occurs at random, regardless of CPU/Harddisk/Network loading.

Latest drivers for all devices have been used.

I have tried the same network card on 2 systems, both have the same problem.

This is just a wild guess, and might be a stupid one:

Do you have other types of WPA available on the router, and have you tried them? Heavy encryption might be hogging the processor.

WPA-TKIP is ok, but 54Mbps, but WPA-AES, which allows 300Mbps, have the problem.

D-Link claims your router and the wifi card to be well matched to each other.

Maybe the data is streaming too fast for one of the other components in the computer.
