Trouble with Belkin f5d7500

Problem: Alright so, I cannot get Microsoft to install this router. I have computer running Windows Media Edition. At first I put my wireless card in first then tried installing, I realized this is a no-no; so I removed the card and restored my computer to a previous date to try and reverse any problems I may have provoked. So then I goto the Belkin Support site download and install the driver(I lost the original disk and have had this card work an another computer perfectly fine (on a Windows XP SP2)). I have tried to locate the drivers in the program directory manual through the windows installer as well as everything else you can possibly do. I removed the hardware and restored the computer twice trying different driver versions. The computer will not detect the hardware at all.

This is my first post on this forum and probably won't be my last. Someone please help me out, I rather consult this forum then speaking to a support representative who speaks broken English and has an attitude.
