i have a dv6000. if i log off, turn off, or put the computer to sleep, the computer can no longer read the wireless card. the device manager says that it is working properly. the only solution that i have found is to delete the drivers for my wireless card and turn the computer off. when i turn the computer back on, the computer will automatically reinstall the driver. then finally once i restart the computer one more time, the internet will work. however, it will no longer work. i can not get the card to work. any ideas or solutions?
Hi,
What Operating System are you using on the HP? If it's Vista - try clicking the network icon in your system tray and then click the name of the network. You should get a new window with Diagnose and Repair as an option on the left hand side. Click this - wait for a bit - it may solve the problem. But if not another window will appear which should have an option to "reset the network adapter". Try this. It's not a permanent solution but it may save you reinstalling the drivers everytime!
If it's XP - I'm not as sure of the exact user journey off-hand but it should be similar.
