Default Weird SSID / ad-hoc

Hmm, Take a look at this...
http://fam.pictures.co.nz/wireless-ap/ipaq
I pick this up from Telstra clear 5th floor with 100% signal, I also get it in the car park, at rubadub in albany and at my home.

What could it be? If i could retype the characters i would search google as I think it might be a default ssid for macs or something?

It's adhoc and i dont know how to connect adhoc because the bssid changes every 5 seconds or so?

If i start my ipaq in adhoc it also does the same thing and changes the bssid every 5 seconds :/

Htf do you use ad-hoc.
