Wireless card causes computer to freeze

I've got a HP pavillion dv8140us and I'm using, or attempting to use, a ubiquiti SRC wireless card. Whenever I have the card jacked in it causes my computer to freeze. It sometimes takes 30 min. but other times it will freeze in a couple of minutes. I got the newest software from ubiquiti's website so my drivers are up to date but I'm stumped. Any help is appreciated.

I'll borrow the topic as I have the same trouble. My pci wifi card cause my computer to freeze when handling lot of traffic.

I can sit and chat or "small time random surf" for hours without problems, and leave the computer on all night without problems. But as I increase the traffic thrue the wifi card, the computer freezes up. Sometimes after a few minutes and sometimes after a few hours.

I narrowed it down to the wifi card because if I use the mainboard integrated nic, I can have lot of traffic without any problems at all.

I changed pci slot to see if that was the problem, but no luck. I have the latest drivers from the manufacture. I read somewere that it could be the ar5211.sys file, so I downloaded a new version but it didn't help. I also tried changing the MTU with DR.TCP but still have the problem.

Does anyone have a clue what I can do about this?
