Default Wireless Card Connects to Router, but NOT Internet

I've got several laptops that I'm trying to connect to the internet. All of the laptops are using SMC wireless cards. All of the computers are connecting to a router but the internet is not coming up. Two or three of the laptops are connecting to the internet with the SMC cards, but the rest are not. I'm using a Linksys WIFI card on my laptop and having no problems connecting. The available networks are via a Linksys router (unsecure network in the building that I can connect to) and an Apple Airport Express (secure network that I'm using with my Linksys card). Is there a setting somewhere in the network connections that I need to change to get the rest of the laptops with the SMC Wireless Cards to connect to not just the router, but the internet, too?

First make sure you can ping the router to see whether the wireless network is at fault or something else is set up wrong.

If you can't reach the router, check the wireless encryption settings, IP address assignments, etc etc on the laptops. Also a driver update will often help.

If you can reach the router, it sounds like your default gateway or DNS settings are misconfigured. Use the router IP for both and see if it fixes it. This is when DHCP can be your best friend.

Lastly, do you know if the network uses a proxy server? If so, you may need to enter the correct settings into your web browser.

Yes! All the settings are "Auto"
Select DNS auto. Proxy server auto
So what next.
