Default Wireless repeater wrt54gl works, but cannot ping it

Hello all,

I have a linksys wireless router, the wrt54gl. I bought a second one, exactly the same. I flashed it to make it a wireless repeater. I did that by means of a laptop connected with a cable to the second "router" and then flashed it with dd-wrt software. I even managed to use DHCP, so didn't have use static IP addresses. I used dd-wrt.v24-11650_VINT_micro.bin and dd-wrt.v24-11650_VINT_std.bin to flash.
I could reach the web interface of dd-wrt on the wireless repeater with the ip address 192.168.1.2. At this moment, i cannot ping or get the web interface even if i connect the cable to the laptop again. I even scanned the entire network with a network tool, to try to find the IP address of the wireless repeater, but no success. I read many forums, but did not find an answer to my problem. The strange thing is, the wireless repater is working perfectly, I can connected to it and internet works with it. The only thing I still want to do is to set the security of the wireless repeater to WPA2, now it is unsecured. My question: Does anyone know how I can get the webinterface working again to go to the settings in dd-wrt?
I should mention, that I already tried 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1 after I powered off my primary router (192.168.0.1) and the modem/router from my provider (192.168.1.1) but still couldn't reach the wireless repeater, even with cable connected to the laptop. The primary wrt54gl router is connected to the modem / router of my provider (Orange), to make it wireless.

thanx in advance,

Johnny

Default

If you can connect through it you should be able to connect to it. The web interface is port 80 of the routers IP address.

If you can connect through it, find the IP address of the router and connect to that.

The default gateway that you see when you ipconfig/all when connected through the repeater should do it.
