Question Wireless = Teh Devil??

So I just started using wireless from my desktop at home. I play a game called WoW (World of Warcraft) and I am having Serious lag issues now that I have switched to wireless. My signal is almost always low or good, which is pretty ridiculous since I am 20ft away from it (at the most). I have a G series Linksys router with a G series Linksys PC Card (PCI). They are both speed booster. Anyone know why my connection sucks so bad?? I can barely do anything in the game.

Thanks in advance.

I<3wireless (sarcasm if you couldn't tell )

If you open a dos command box and ping your router, what are the ping times?

I'll have to check that out when I get home. I know that I can surf just fine, but being unable to put a load on my wireless is pointless. I'll hop back on tonight with some more information.

Kill the speedbooster (i.e. let it run at 54Mbps max) and see what happens.

Default Interference?

One cause could be interference. I was at a house the other day with similar problems; the ping was all over the place. I did a scan with Netstumbler stumbler dot net and 3 of the neighbours were on the same channel (6). I moved it to channel 11 and all was fine. You should only drop about 1-3ms on the ping through you wireless network.
Good luck
Dale
