Default ZEW1602 Zonet PCI wireless card problem with Vista

Please help me!! I just bought the ZEW1602 from zonet and it does not work. I have Vista 32bit with 3GB RAM. According to the Zonet it is vista compatible. I download the drivers from the website and tried to install them. The computer tries to install but then it says it could not start code 10. Has anyone figured out how to make it work? Are there any universal drivers I could try?
Thanks for any help

In your original post you said you had downloaded the drivers and tried to install them.
My reading of that is that you did not use Vista to search for and install the driver as the FAQ says.

I have this Zonet card and I have the same problem. I know the cause- its your RAM. If you have more than 2GB RAM in your PC then the card won't start. If you lower your RAM to 2GB- this card will work fine. Unfortunately this is the only solution I have found to this problem.

Also of note- this problem happens with many PCI WiFi cards.

Replace your computer's wireless network adapter.

Wireless network signals must be sent both to and from your computer. Sometimes, your router can broadcast strongly enough to reach your computer, but your computer can't send signals back to your router. To improve this, replace your laptop's PC card-based wireless network adapter with a USB network adapter that uses an external antenna. In particular, consider the Hawking Hi-Gain Wireless USB network adapter, which adds an external, hi-gain antenna to your computer and can significantly improve your range.
