Just to confirm, I have just got the same tariff for my wife as we had to
give her 30 days notice the middle of November. (You have to already be on a
contract with 3 and be in the last month or so).
This is the deal so if anyone else is interested, they can decide if they
want it:
* No new phone offered
* Keep your current 3 number
* 100 anytime/cross-network minutes
* 100 Texts
* 3 will credit your account with £235 (incl. VAT) on your next bill.
On your last bill you will pay 3 the remaining £5. I asked, "What if I go
over the minutes or texts?" I was informed that anything extra will be
charged on the last bill - so if I spent £5 extra then on the last month I
would pay £10. This seems an awesome deal so I hope someone else is able to
make use of it. My friend phoned about 10 minutes after I did and got the
same.
When you dial 333, choose option 1, 5, 3 and you'll be put forward to the
Customer team which makes the offers to "keep" you. O...you also get a 7 day
cooling period if you want to change your mind (yeah right - at 42p per
month for a phone contract, I think I will stay!)
Hope this helps!
Re: 12 month tariff on 3 for £5 for the whole year

I also got the same offer from Three when I called to cancel my contract
last week. I told them to stuff it as I wouldn't pay 5p for their crummy
network for another year of dropped calls, let alone £5
