Default 3 skypephone just bought one

So after falling for the 3 hype a few years ago, ending up with a useless
motorola A1000 a few years back I swore I would never go to 3 again.
fast forward a few years and see the 3 skypefone for sale, and lose my
marbles again and buy one.

Nice little phone for half a ton, but would be nice if the bloddy skype part
of the skypephone actually worked. its been 24hours since I bought it and it
seems neither me or any other users can get the thing to log on.

At least its only pay as you go. not tied in for 18 months

As you say, great phone for £50... can't fault it at all. Works fine
for me with both my contract SIM (from another phone) and this PAYG
SIM installed. That said, the PAYG SIM would only login to Skype once
I'd topped up first.

Tried that, but looking through the forums no one who has bought a phone
this weekend has got it working and those who did last week and did get it
working have not had skype running for 3 days, which is slighly worrying.
If the service is up and down so much it looks like its still in beta

It's working for me. Not very helpful response for you there, but for
me it seems a decent enough handset which I have loaded with nearly a
gig of music and seems ok.

Brought mine on Thursday -- was working within a few minutes and has
been ever since.

Thanks for the people who responded, know that the system works for some is
usefull, all the forums are full of stressed people like me, with non
working phones. but I am only the stressed people looking for answers go to
the sites in the first place.

I am curious if this is a logging in issue then guessing that those with
working systems have had the skype logged in for days? just wondering if
maybe servers can not cope with more than X amount of connections

It takes my 6120 on Three for ever (well, anything up to 5 minutes) to
login to Skype. Definitely a bottleneck somewhere.
