Default Advice

I'm on a 200 minutes per month deal from Vodafone. Contract ends in a
month. I don't want another phone. I already have three Nokia 6230i's. I
just want 200 minutes per month contract with no cashback or other time
wasting deals. Cheap as possible. Only use phone in London and south
east.

TIA

If you don't want a new phone or cashback you're almost certainly better off going
PAYG. Then you don't get ripped off if you exceed your monthly minutes, don't use
them up, or makes calls to numbers not included in the allowance (eg non geographic,
roaming).

Have a look at Tesco: http://www.tesco.com/mobilenetwork/s...ge=extratariff

200 mins will cost £20, but if you only use 150 mins, then you only pay £15, and if
you use 250 mins, you pay £25. And if you don't use the phone at all, you pay
nothing! And you get a 10% discount for regular top-ups.

If you mainly use the phone offpeak, you could consider Vodafone PAYG, this can be
very good value with Stop The Clock (30p for an hour).

Then just let the contract run, no problems.

Or sign up for a new Anytime 200 contract, which is average 22.50 a month
over 18 months, take the most sellable phone they offer and flog it on
e-bay, effective monthly cost could be as low as a tenner.

Depends if you think all the hassle and getting locked into a new contract
is worth the saving.

Except he'll probably be getting ripped off.

What, you can get a phone with a resale value of £225 on that contract?

Anyway that'll be a tenner plus calls not included in the allowance, like non
geographic, roaming etc.

He can make a saving with PAYG without hassle or getting locked in.
