I left 3 about 2 years ago and rejoined in December -- utilising their
14 day trial. I'd left originally because of
* poor 3G coverage
* dropped calls even when in supposedly good coverage
* dropped calls when moving out of 3G to 2G coverage
* handset flip/flopping between 3G and 2G where 3G coverage is minimal
* poor data/internet access
* so-so customer service
Their 3G coverage is much better, and I've not had a single dropped
call -- despite using about 600 minutes per month in Dec and Jan,
often in a fringe 3G coverage area. Calls now seamlessly transition
from 3G to 2G... and all the other items I left for seem not to be a
problem now. I've only had two interactions with Customer Service,
and they were as good as any other network.
And with Three's X-Series offerings -- unlimited internet access for
£5 per month, you can't go wrong.
Finally, at the moment, my handset will roam on Orange *and* O2 when
out of 3G coverage, meaning I get even better coverage (the choice of
three networks), although I appreciate this is only possible while
Three move from 2G roaming with O2 to Orange. |
