Default Anyone heard of 'Noodle'

Right, first off, this is a genuine question, not Spam, so no flames please.

Some of you might know from my previous post that I'm trying to find a way
to make 0845 numbers out of my inclusive minutes...

In the course of my research, I've come across this lot:

http://www.noodle.co.uk/

They claim a lot of the usual stuff: International calls, 0845 calls etc all
out of inclusive minutes.
The unusual thing is that you sign up for your own access number, and you
seem to be able to earn money by making calls through it.

Sounds a little bit iffy to me, but haven't found the catch yet anyone heard
of them, or better still, anyone actually signed up with them that could say
if it works or not?

Chris.

That is not the way I read it. You make calls through their number but
you don't get money for that, you get money for receiving calls, i.e.
you get part of the revenue generated from the incoming call.
I tried 07700090000 from Virgin Mobile and it was blocked.

Hmm, interesting. If 07700 numbers are blocked then not much point in the
service...
Are you Virgin PAYG, Contract or on one of their 'Bundles'?

I am using Noodle from last 2 weeks from my orange pay monthly phone by
using free minutes. Its free from Orange O2 and 3 if you have free
minutes. You get 2p a minute if you dial the number sent to you by
Noodle and 1p a minute if some one calls you on your Noodle number. To
get Noodle number just send a text message to them.

Type following message:

Noodle Stars

and send it to:

81025

They will text you your number in a sec which will be something like
07822xxxxx which is free to dial from Orange 3 and O2. You can dial
0800, 0870 0845 and many International destinations free through this
number.

Its does not work with virgin and T-Mobile at the moment it does work
with Voda but cant confirm it will be free or not.

Noodle's FAQ specifically mentions their numbers cannot be accessed
from T-Mobile, presumably this also includes the virtual mobile
network who 'piggy-back' on them.

"Q : Why can I not connect to a Noodle Oodles number?

Ans: Please note that currently Noodle Oodles numbers cannot be
accessed from a T-Mobile number. If you cannot access a Noodle Oodles
number, please contact your service provider. However, Noodle Monthly
SIM account numbers are not affected."

This article
<http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/07/17/truphone_courts_voip/> from
The Register is about Truphone, who have also had problems agreeing
call termination charges with T-Mobile.

You used the word 'free' three times in your 'top posted' reply.

I'm sure you know deep down that these minutes are 'inclusive' and paid for,
not 'free'

You seem to omit to tell us the cost of the initial text message and the
possible (?) implications of further spam texts which may (?) incur a
charge.

There is no such thing as a free lunch! :-)

07700 numbers are charged at 'Upto 40p per minute' on Vodafone pay
monthly, and 'Upto 50p per minute' on vodafone pre pay.

Something which I find really annoying is posts eg Noodle ***** that
ask you to send a text message to a number. how much is the standard
rate text for god sake!

Moderator - please remove that Noodle ***** it is obvious it is spam

I totally agree

People should sign up using themselves (spare SIM) as a referrer,
instead of giving spammer parasites their mobile number
