Default ASDA Phones

El cheapo Motorola's at £9.

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/ne...name_page.html

but not on ASDA's web site

They appear to have Orange logo's.

Anyone one know what the deal is (in particular if you have to top up) and
whether another Orange P&G SIM with no top up requirement would work in the
phone?

First I've heard about it, ultra basic Handset, good deal though.
TJ Hughes are knocking out an Alcatel E205 on Orange for 99p more.

There was an article in Electronics News or similar (no link sorry) that
said they had got handsets down below $20 and were heading towards $10.
When you think my first portable handset cost £2k + VAT you can see things
have come a long way...

I bought 2 yesterday - they are Motorola Motofone's .... see
http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/pro...alObjectId=164

They come with an Orange PAYG sim (pre-loaded with £1 credit I
believe). Basic phone, no camera or bluetooth, but simple to use.
Ideal phone for soemone who wants a no-frills phone.

Cheers

Jim!
