Default Ball-park figure for fixing cracked screen

Hi all,

I've a Nokia E51 with a cracked screen (the LCD, not the case) and am
wondering whether it's cost effective to get it fixed or get a second
hand one on Ebay. I don't have insurance and have still got 5 months on
my contract to go.

Is it going to be 50 quid or nearer 100 or more?
Cheers...

Have a go yourself?

http://www.sw-box.com/nokia-7610-sup...ay-screen.html

US$27 delivered. Looks like a fairly simple connection.

Interesting. I did see this on ebay, but wasn't sure if it was kosher:

I may give it a punt at only a tenner.

I know its a different model but i managed to crack the screen on my Nokia
E63. I took my fone apart and it looked fairly straight forward to replace
it myself but since i'd cracked the screen myself decided to let an "expert"
do it for me and let him take the risk. He charged me £35 to replace the
screen including labour. Dave.

E61i £75 at a Nokia service centre, new replacement LCD, front and
rear casing and 2 year Nokia warranty intact.

Sam.

Just following up that the above item on ebay worked a treat and I now
have a fully functional E51 again.

It took all of about 5min to repair. The supplied torx screwdrivers were
a bonus.

I have no affiliation, just a happy customer.
