Default Barred Sim

I barred a sim card that was receiving abusive texts a week ago.
I now want to unbar it knowing that they think the sim is destroyed forever.

What happens to any texts sent between the sim being barred and it being
reactivated, do they just disappear for good? Or will they turn up?

Thanks

Chris

If the message validity time has expired, then no. By default this is
set to 72 hours on Vodafone SIMs, not sure about other networks.

They're queued by the senders SMSC.

A reconnected SIM would later receive the messages through, dependent on
the validity time set by the sender and their network of course.

Try barring your phone to see...

I did. The sending phone reported "your SMS cannot be sent". As a test I
sent a message to another number from the same phone which sent
successfully.

On cancelling the barring no messages came through.

Therefore I re-iterate my original answer: black holed immediately.

At the network level you cannot. It's all or nothing. Some smartphones
and some non-smartphones have the ability to ignore any incoming things
from programmable numbers.
