Default Best PAYG options on Orange?

Is there any better/cheaper options on Orange PAYG other than the standard
offering? I have been with Orange PAYG since 1996 and Im still on the
standard PAYG tarrif. I am now using the phone more often and want better
value. What package should I move to? I dont want a contract.

Thanks
Terry

When my wife was in a similar situation a couple of years ago she rang
their CS and they gave her a much better deal without any trouble.

Thanks for that David, but I was wondering if anyone in here could offer any
advice on a better package. Is there any cheaper call options (to UK fixed
landlines) on Orange PAYG, without going to a tarrif where you HAVE to pay a
fixed amount every month? To me a PAYG phone should be just that. If I
have to pay a fixed amount each month, its not PAYG, but something similar
to a contract, which I dont want.....

The current PAYG tariff is called speakeasy which is 15p/min for all
calls and 10p for text.

Or you could go to a SIM only contract. Although its a contract it only
carries a 30-day commitment. All the info is on Orange's website.

In short, no. But a SIM only racoon contract might work out for you,
depending on how heavily you use the phone.

Yes, call up and ask for a PAC code. They'll ask why you'd like to leave and
if you say the calls are too expensive they'll then offer you calls for 5p
to landlines and orange numbers and 12p to other networks at all times.
(Think this may be subject to a 10p minimum call charge though). Also, if
you send lots of texts you can be on the "free text top-up plan" as well
which gives you 300 free texts valid for a month for each £10 you top-up.

There was the Orange Value Promise virgin deal (no line rental, you just
get billed in arrears for calls you make) but this is no longer
available unless like me you were a pre-existing customer on that
tariff.
