You can buy Virgin PAYG SIM cards in any Virgin Megastore or generalist
phone shop for £10 and it comes with £5 of credit. I've just bought a 3G
Orange PAYG SIM card in an Orange shop for £10 and it comes with £10 of
credit (so the card is basically free). I've never had problems with Virgin
in Northern Ireland and Orange seems to work fine so far.
