Communications Direct -who are they?

Had a call on my TPS registered mobile from these guys (a Cardiff
number) telling me (not asking me if I wanted to) that they were
upgrading my tariff to something "a lot better" than my current plan
and would throw in a new phone.

I cut the guy short by lying magnificently and telling him my contract
was brand new; at which point he said goodbye and hung up.

Who are they and has anyone had dealings with them?

I'm assuming they're shysters?

there are a few of these companies operating out of Cardiff...........

last time they called I had a bit of 'fun'...............while they were on
the phone I played music in the background..............increasing volume
gradually. Then while he was talking I said there was someone at my front
door could I just let them in..............put phone down for 3 minutes with
that music playing even louder......................they had hung up when I
picked the phone back up.......................they have not phoned since.
